About Us

 

Meghan Speakerman is a journalism major at Texas State minoring in business. She is an intern at The Austin Chronicle and enjoys writing about fashion, food and popular culture. After graduation she hopes to further her freelance writing career and maybe move up the catering ladder into event planning. She pursues a variety of interests but reserves professional writing as her main goal. 





 

Rachel Barnett is a current Texas State honor student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in professional writing with a minor in journalism.She has a passion for writing and hopes to one day become an editor for a major newspaper company. Rachel recently took her own mission trip to Acuña, Mexico and experienced firsthand the joy of helping those in impoverished circumstances.








Jordan Gass-Poore' is an English, mass communication at Texas State University- San Marcos. She is the assistant trends editor for The University Star, a contributor for Slackerwood, an Austin-based film blog, and an intern for LMG Communications, a San Antonio-based boutique public relations firm. After graduating in two years, she would like to teach English in Spain and eventually settle down in the Greater London Area, writing for the national daily newspaper, The Guardian.








Jenna Box is a Journalism major at Texas State University, minoring in International Studies. She has completed a few personal projects as a freelance writer and will apply for an internship at NPR affiliate station KUT in Austin, next April. After graduating, she plans to complete her master's degree in Journalism and begin building a career working for an international news organization.
